We live in exciting times, that is for certain. As we reach the end of our long adolescence as humans on this garden planet we call Earth, it is clear that we are now being called to integrate and take responsibility for the eco-systemic imbalances and disconnections we have created here.
Like a teenager separating from the family unit and becoming an individual, we have found ways to feel separate from Nature by use of clever technology. The thrill of freedom and individual power of choice has led us to create a modern techno-culture obsessed with what it is able to create seemingly apart from or as an improvement upon Nature.
This techno-culture has acted as a callus, or thick impenetrable membrane, between our own inner Nature and Nature itself. The energy stagnation, eco-systemic imbalances, and resource disconnects we see in Nature today are mirrored in our own cellular biology. Ecosystem failure and heart failure are, not surprisingly, related topics.
The postmodern information age has called for a return to Nature. It has brought us organic farming, but often romanticizes the pre-modern tribal or traditional life. Anything but modern, it says. Technology is dirty. Technology got us into this mess. The technology of separation.
What is being born now is a technology of connection that will connect us to Nature more deeply than ever before. This technology sees our journey of connecting to Nature and the health of ecosystems as integrally parallel to our journey of connecting with inner Nature and the health of our bodies themselves. This new technology is a constant reframing of science by understanding what is already working in Nature and then magnifying rather than trying to improve upon or alter those processes.
We are being called to pay attention to what is already working in Nature - to notice that there are other forces at work in Nature than gravity and the weight of the challenges we face...
Levity. A sense of amusement and lightness in the face of seemingly impossible odds. The energy of the type of health we are creating today is found in all of our bones and joints, connective tissue, and every cell. It is the force that is always moving our bodies back into balance if we only pay attention and allow it. It beckons us to rise up and accept challenge after challenge as huge opportunities to understand ourselves and Nature more fully.
Solutions. We are always solution oriented. The challenges are big, but the bigger the challenges, the bigger and more powerful the solutions that become available. Hope springs eternal from that knowledge of balance and as we watch the pain of separation, we see it as calling for awareness of what needs connecting.
